We are the Dayton Microcomputer Association,
not the Direct Marketing Association

If you're trying to find where to get removed from telemarketer's and junk mail lists (unsubscribe or opt out), see The Direct Marketing Association's Consumer Assistance page. We are not, in any way, affiliated with The Direct Marketing Association, except for having the same three-letter acronym and a similar URL. As of June 27, 2003, you may register with the National Do Not Call Registry, managed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). See the following page for info about reporting spammers.

Whoever told you to go to www.dma.org to opt out from telemarketing and bulk mail ads was misinformed. Please contact them and advise them it is the Direct Marketing Association at www.the-dma.org. Thanks.

We have also sometimes been confused with the Dallas Museum of Art and the Dietary Managers Association. Likewise, we are not associated with either of those organizations except for sharing the same TLA.

Finally, some advice about postal mail. Read it very carefully before responding to free offers or surveys. Beware of Fine Print That Sidesteps the "Do Not Call" Lists.
