Why call a picnic 25? Simple, the picnic celebrates 32 years of the DMA: 25=32.
So in honor of the anniversary and in preparation for the DMA One Third Century celebration next year, we are having a picnic at Thomas Cloud Park on September 13th from Noon—6:00 pm or whenever people leave. DMA will be providing the meat (hamburgers, brats, and hot dogs), buns, condiments, and the drinks for the event.
Gary Turner and Lillian Rudolf are planning the event. We're asking folks to pay $2 to let us know you are coming and bring a side dish to share, such as salad, chips and dip or dessert. Gary will have tickets and the $2 will allow us to plan on how many can show up. If you don't buy your ticket in advance, we ask that you make a $5 donation the day of the party.
We plan to have various activities, including geocaching. So mark your calendars for September 13th from Noon—6:00 pm, Thomas A. Cloud Memorial Park, Shelter 5. Thomas Cloud park is at 4707 Brandt Pike, on the west side of Brandt Pike in Huber Heights just north of Harshman Rd.
