Welcome to Stan Rohrer's Subject Index page. No, I'm not attempting to duplicate the many fine efforts available on the World Wide Web (herein referred to as WWW). I am attempting to collect some things of my interest and hopefully useful links for other users in the business world. The first entries of each section, or paragraph, are generally the favorites. Additional entries provide depth or more resources. With a little luck, this reference should be a useful resource for beginners to the WWW as well as seasoned users.
Disclaimer: Just because items appear on these subject pages does not identify them as the best sources for company or personal use. The user must determine appropriate use.
I often add some small icons to help point out entries which I think are
top notch "begin here" locations as well as recent entries. If you are unsure
where to start, look for the
entries. The "new"
entries with the yellow background
(
) are entries which
have been recently added and the "new" icons with the background faded closer
to the border color (
)
are new entries which have aged some. Eventually I take the icon out, whenever
I get in the mood to update actually, but this should help readers see what's
been added. Using the two icon scheme is a simple way to help me to not delete
the newest icons which are only a few days old when making updates (I don't
want to date each icon).
It's not that I don't like the high graphics content pages, but for a quick reference, I feel the page load time is more important. I hope the speed benefit offsets the lack of whiz-bang graphics and image maps.
Like any WWW page, these pages will be always be under construction. If you like a particular reference you had better make a page for yourself and copy the reference or make a bookmark entry in your browsing software. The hot ones will likely hang around a while but, having said that, this author won't guarantee that any reference will be around for more than 5 minutes.
Many thanks to my friends and co-workers. Many of the entries on these pages have been suggested through these very helpful resources.
New users might check out the section: Learning About Internet (click on this reference).
Enjoy your surfing!
